Sacrament of Holy Orders
Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: deacon, priest, and bishop. In the phrase "holy orders", the word "holy" simply means "set apart for some purpose." The word "order" designates an established civil body or corporation with a hierarchy, and ordination means legal incorporation into an order. (CCC #1536 & 1537)
If you think you are being called to become a priest please contact the pastor (306 764-4942) to talk about the possibilities. Or go to www.padiocese.ca/vocations-commission

Vocation Prayer
Heavenly Father,
bless your church in the Diocese of Prince Albert
with an abundance of holy and zealous priests,
deacons, brothers and sisters.
Give to those you have called to the married state
and those you have chosen to live as single persons
in the world,
the special graces that their lives require.
Form us all in the likeness of your Son,
so that in Him, with Him and through Him
we may love you more deeply
and serve you more faithfully, always and everywhere.
With Mary, we ask you this through Christ our Lord. AMEN.
